It also wasn't too long after Jeff's "shutdown" vis the whole free speech issue. Although I understand, in principle, what he wants the board to be... I question whether or not that's possible given the decibel level. I know this is your playground, and the last thing I wanna be is the resident buzzkill... and honestly, I don't even expect anyone to pay that much attention. But I do get frustrated with the stupidity. It's just boring. The constant flaming... the fag jokes... the nigger jokes... the whore jokes... the drug jokes... the fanboy jokes. All the shit that's gonna follow this post ( and we all know who's going to respond, and what they're going to say ). Yeah, that does start to bore me. Sorry. And yes, I'll keep posting here occasionally, because occasionally it IS funny and it's a better source for dirt than LIB ( which has become oddly church obsessed lately ). But I'm never gonna be a part of your incestuous inner circle of assraping regs because I just don't have the stomach for you guys most days. he said what i was going to say. it's truly bizarre how incestuous this place can be, with everyone changing their signatures every few days to reflect the newest, nastiest thing said about someone else. obviously i'm not who you were talking to, but i don't consider this statement buzzkill at all. it's something that needs to be pointed out, even if it is going to be shouted down. or at least it's something different. a break from accusing yet another porn guy of liking trannies or calling some chick a crackhead.

William, it would seem the decency and decorum of ADT might better suit what you're searching for in a porn forum, but I'm sure you know that already. Oddly enough I agree with you to a certain degree. I'm not against the harsher antics being kept within the shit list and the cage where chaos can rule. It's not unreasonable to allow the general porn talk forum to be a little more restrained than other sections allowing a wider variety of industry posters(the girls). But I don't control any of that shit and it's just my opinion so whatever.

I really don't post in the Cage but I'm confused when this person says that "XPTers aren't Porn fans"...

What's interesting is that William chose to post it on his MySpace page rather than open it up to total debate by slamming it up here, which WillieD has done for him (sweet move, Willie). And the funny thing is, it would have made a good posting had William thought about it. Here's a chance for some proper debate (and first class name-calling, naturally) which William could've taken part in. Instead, he's vanished again with little attempt to defend himself. If the board is just about name-calling behind everyone's backs on other servers or whatever, I should point out that I've had PMs from all of you, calling the rest of you 'homos'. I mean, who just posts their gripes via MySpace... (I know you love all this shit, Kurt).

the whole nature of xpt "philosophical" debate seems to happen every month or so, and i always seem to get sucked into commenting. and i always say the same thing, so skip ahead if you know how this is going to go.
i agree that xpt is mean, bitter, and frequently unnecessary. there's certainly a herd mentality, meaning some people try way too hard to fit in with the pack. a lot of posters merely rehash other peoples ideas and jokes over and over again. most threads are overwhelmingly negative, meaning most industry people and especially the girls will not want to post here. but for all its flaws, xpt is still interesting and entertaining enough for me.
as to why someone would read xpt if they're not a big porn fan... i've never bought porn in my life, and outside of xpt, lib and myspace i have no knowledge of pornstars. i've never met a sex worker, even been to a strip club... and so i read xpt for the same reason i watch documentaries on deep sea crab fishing on discovery channel, or read novels set in medieval france- to learn about an interesting world which is very different from my life. plus people post pictures of titties and ass and rather occasionally feet. i enjoy the psychological aspects of peering into the minds of porn talent, producers and fans- and the posters who are none of those. if all i wanted was similarity in my life, i'd read pretentiousuniversitystudenttalk.com

The whole Myspace venting/truth telling bullshit is pretty pussy whenever it is done by whomever. While I have enjoyed Hydepost in the past it does seem he spends an awful lot of energy trying to convince people that he cares little for that he doesnt suck. But yeah the worst type of poster is the Herd Runner...Referencing cliches from an XPT past he had no part of instead of creating fresh new ones...content to ride the wakes of the big ones.

I can handle people not agreeing with me. I can't handle stupid dipshits who can't post their point of view intelligently.
I wouldn't mind seeing the "Talent For Hire" a little more strictly enforced myself. Some posters hammer any chick who puts up a pic of herself to get some work. It's amazing any girl puts up a pic of herself there(that whole section of the board may become useless).
