Im in the midwest, Ive produced a few scenes, but it has been extremely difficult to find girls in this area. Ive used such websites as adultstaffing.com, hardcoremodeling.com, and a few others, with only very minimal response. A lot of girls are willing to travel, at my expense, but obviously Id prefer to avoid that. If anyone knows of any good websites for talent, especially those with girls in Illinois or Missouri, please post. Thank you

Hmmmm now theres an idea I hadn't thought of. I am going to AEE in January as well, and trying to shoot a scene or two there. Im heading out there with another amateur producer from my area, who's been there many times. Any advice on that? I've only worked with amateurs, and I've had a small amout of contact with pros. The usual response is "I only work with well-known companies", which obviously isnt me. I've also noticed that this kind of rejection of amateur producers is encouraged, often times on this very board. Every time I see a new girl wanting to get in, all the veteran girls say "only work for well-known companies". I understand there are a lot of scam artists out there though, but its frustrating for legitimate amateur producers. Anyway, thanks for the advice, any other info would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, two quick pieces of advice, first, ditch the yahoo email and spring the 15 bucks for your own domain and email, you do not need to have the site up to have your own email, this way instead of cluelesspornguyinmidwest@yahoo.com, you can be producer@pornguyinmidwest.com. You would be amazed at what such a small amount of money can do for your image.
Second, you don't really have to tell anyone you are such a newbie. Here is what i did, I flew down to FL which is cheaper and easier then flying to LA from NY, and I shot girls who were local to FL, which there are a few of. After we were done and wrapped, while we were sitting there bullshiting, I informed the girls that it was my first shoot, and they didn't believe it.
It is all about being professional, putting out that vibe and attitude. Think about what you want to shoot, and just articulate yourself when calling or emailing to establish contact, do not call or email and act like all the clueless or ghetto wanabes that these girls deal with every day. That phone number you are going to give the models or email them, does that have some dumbass music or stupid thug voicemail message? Stuff like that, imagine you are working in a real legit, prestigious profession, that is how you should conduct yourself. Do that and you will line up a shoot pretty easily, and all you need is one shoot with a reasonably well known girl that you can use as a reference going forward.

By the way, Chico's advice is pretty good too, but regardless, what i said still applies.

I actually had a webpage with email accounts for a while, but it didnt do well, probably because of small content. I agree with you it does look more professional, but I like having an email address that I can know I'll always have no matter what. The webhosting company may shutdown or choose to terminate my account,etc. As for as the music on the phone and that, I know better than that for sure. That was a funny story about you in Florida! Congratulations on all your success and thanks.
