It's a great experience to be in front of the camera before you are behind it-- that way you really know how your subjects feel. I always wished I had done some modeling in my youth so I had that experience in front of the camera, instead of just behind it.



I love Ellen Von Unwerth. She's my fave out of all the Guess photographers as well as her other work. I'm not sure if previous modeling experience helped. Maybe practicing in the mirror when I was 12 helped. Did you do that, too?
