I'll throw in a vote for "Not Windsock" on big moose. The guy has been here for a couple months or so without posting anything, and I also seen his name several time on the "Who's Online" list(but again, never posting anything), even at the same time as windsock a couple of times.
I will, however, call him a windsock/CAOH/simp wannabe who is taking advantage of his absence. The guy does post in a sock/CAOH/simp-ish manner, but the writing style seems quite a bit different. Sorry dude, there can be only 1 windsock(okay, okay, only 3).

this is probably fair, but also being fair, i would only really ever "wannabe" windsock. the other personas were too extreme for my taste. they offered no wiggle room. moreover, i really have tried not to step on his toes too hard. i have refrained from using  or  because these are images that are practically trademarked by the man.

By nature Simp is subversive, and the freedom of this place is not conducive to that. His posts are intended to disconcert, but regardless he always seems to find an applauding audience here, which must be frustrating. I think that is why, despite the occasional gem, many of his postings have been borderline spam. It's telling that his best work was produced on ADT before this place ever existed. Before he was declared outlaw, the ADT grandees actually engaged him with interesting results. He deserves considerable credit for exploring the conflict between between civilized notions and animal desires. To get back to that he needs to disappear and completely re-invent himself, so don't be surprised if a "new" character emerges that eventually steers in the same direction.

i see windsock's "spam" posts differently. i would agree that the audience here probably is frustrating to him, though not for exactly the same reason. while i do think there is an element of frustration at the "applause" he receives, i would imagine this frustration also contains a strong sense of aggravation at how little his ideas are followed up on by the other posters. instead of his posts prompting real thought about their subjects, the response is often nothing more than "go simp!", "good one, simp!", "you suck, simp!", etc. "quah quah quah-", is, at least in part, the sound of a man banging his head against the wall.
or maybe he is just drunk.

It all fits, I think CAOH was my friend Gary. We live in Ohio, he helped teach me AA but drank again himself, he was a troubled single man, liked the internet, etc. I think after the XPT shutdown, he worked for the Democrats until the election, and died Tuesday night.
