Way over-rated clown who wasn't as original as people think. Compare "Teen Spirit" to Blue Oyster Cult's "Godzilla" and you'll hear the same goddamn riff. There are many other cases of song "similarities" that I used to remember from those who were taking notes back then. Nirvana were a second rate grunge band that got lucky and the only thing his freakin' suicide really signified was lettin' Courtney Love's ego loose to run amuck where she's become the self-infatuated skum-sucking skank she is today Too bad he's now a martyr instead of a has-been.

Cobain sucked. Guys like Paul Westerberg were so much better but didnt make videos with cheerleaders and music with 3 power chords. It makes me sick when I hear about how Cobain saved the music world from 'hair bands'. fucking A, Westerberg and The Replacements did it for 10 years before Cobain and other shithead bands like Pearl Fucking Jam came along. The Clash, The Replacments, Husker Du.. all of these bands were WAY better than Nirvana.

Since Kurt Cobain's death,the state of rock music has sadly been stuck in the early 90s for the last ten years,since every band you hear wants to sounds like the next Nirvana,Korn,or Soundgarden,and I just wished that somebody origianl and creative would come along and destroy these godawful bands that are currently plaguing our radio airwaves,before nothing in music is ever sacred anymore.

Rock music is at a dead end I'm afraid. Ugh, there's so much garbage like Limp Bizkit, blink 182, the darkness, marilyn manson, korn... just turn on MTV. It's no wonder they're keping this torch lit for clowns like Cobain because even Ozzy's a buffoon set loose in the master's house.

I think there is a lot of great music out there. you wont find it on mtv, or the radio. these bands dont make gay-ass videos for mtv watchers. Cobain never wrote a god-damned good think in his life. if he hadnt off'ed himself, he'd be forgotton by now. I guess thats why he off'ed himself.

how very true, the underground is where the best music lies today. bands that survive without MTV and radio, without selling themselves to the mass appeal.

I've been involved in the underground for a long time, but now it is worse than ever. College radio used to be a great place for non commercial music, but the major labels got their claws into that say just around the time that grunge blew up w/ the lame-o Nirvana as the blueprint for big bucks from nothing. Therefore, the majors sent their agents into the underground buying up indie labels and mass- marketing college radio. Find me an idiot in a band who wants to remain unknown and I'll show you a thousand idiots ready to sell-out in an instant. Hey, the groupies are a bonus if you do something chicks dig, but the money usually ain't there if you don't score a humongous hit and wind up ho'ing yourself on endless touring as the only way to make any real dough... A lot of these stupid bands that get signed end up owing money in the end because they borrowed a ton for studio costs. Plus, most people sit back and let MTV deliver the new sounds instead of getting off their asses in search of anything original.. .
