SWAT officers assigned to the police department’s Special Response Team (SRT) early today arrested accused murderer Eric Dewayne Meneese, who was hiding in the attic of his sister’s home at 3526 Albee Drive in Hermitage.
Under the cover of darkness, officers knocked on the door and asked for Eric. He answered before looking outside. Once Meneese found out the police were there, he fled to the attic. Meneese’s sister let officers into the duplex. The attic access appeared to have recently been used and noises were heard coming from the ceiling. SRT members ordered Meneese to surrender. He complied after several minutes and was taken into custody without incident.
Meneese, 18, is named in arrest warrants charging criminal homicide and aggravated robbery for the October 10 shooting death of Emanuel Alderson on Kingview Drive in Bordeaux.
