the internet is the future of politics, it's amazing and vaguely scary the influence people can have posting anonymously on the internet. if i worked for a political party, i'd be hiring people to sign up to as many message boards as possible and post, lie, embellish, whatever; just get your party's message out there in a way you could never do legally through other forms of media. make fake "commercials" for youtube, create and spam blogs, do whatever you have to do. make it as untraceable back to the party as possible and lie your ass off. you're reaching demographics difficult to communicate with through traditional mass media and you can do it in an insidious fashion. people are more inclined to believe information that doesn't seem to come from a biased source, make sure this "unbiased" information is strongly biased towards your party.

It is time to give GW his due credit. The Dow closed at yet another record high and oil prices continue to plummet. He got the blame when it was bad, so he should get credit for the good. No? And it's eerily funny how you don't hear too much about the strength of the economy and falling gas prices in the mainstream media.

I don't recall seeing any major news source out right blaming the high gas prices before directly on Bush...I thought only Left Wing crazies believed that. I thought it was because of China and India and all that stuff. Now we are to give credit to Bush for somehow lowering them? Why didn't he do it earlier?

Is there one politician, much less a political party, in America who could be considered pro-porn? No politician I can think of comes to mind, and certainly none of the two major political parties are.
My attack on Jeff was moderately unkind, but the political choices are poor:
Republicans - Restrict porn because it offends Christian values and gets evangelical votes.
Democrats - Restrict porn because it "exploits" "womyn" and frequently depicts non-gay sex.
I just hope Jeff drops the Howard Dean impersonation he's been doing for the past few weeks and gets back to being a porn juggernaut.
