Just curious where people stand on this issue. With the World Series being played later and later in the year recently and the possibility of part of the series being played in Detroit would playing the entire series on a neutral, warm weather field be acceptable NFL super bowl style?

The World Series should be played on the original "Field of Dreams" in Dyersville, IA just before the corn harvest in late October. 100 fans from the two participating cities will be invited to attend and given free housing by the farmers in the surrounding areas of the county. After each game, the players and fans will gather on the field and have a keg party funded by Kevin Costner. The world series really doesn't mean anything, the only real contest in post season baseball is the NLCS. The american league is basically for tourists. They have'nt played real baseball in the AL since they added the DH rule. In a sense any AL game or function is simply an exhibition with about as much meaning and plastic appeal as the "world baseball classic". Just my grumpy 2 bits.
