Jesus, gardeners now have their own forum? I guess there is something more boring then watching grass grow, posting about it.

You should put xpt as your "My favorite forum 1 is". It'll go over well with the lawn community. Represent nigga.

They seem pretty laid back, but I suppose any board does next to adultdvdtalk.com where you can abuse without even being aware at first that you are being abusive. Honestly I thought you were the guy toward the begining who advised the opossums be shotgunned & mulch for the good of the "microherd". What you should do is look for a dressage board. Any equine related board really. Those are promising places for your variety of abuse, especially since most of them are your people.

that thread is just getting started.

i hate horses, they should all be inhumanely-destroyed. cars have totally-surpassed them in function-they don't shit, bite, kick, smell, and instead of being thrown from your car when it sees a snake in the road, you can just throw it in reverse if you didn't kill it in the first place. cars have music and they tell you where to go.

cars didn't kill superman. cars don't have much larger penises than all of us and embed them in our grandmothers when they're lonely.

Is this weird and polite enough it'll get replies? I've been practicing exclusively-organic methods for 2.5 years now, but prior to that had used synthetics for a decade or so.

Recently, my wife and I adopted 2 children from Brazil, ages 4 and 7 and absolutely adore them. Our 7-year old, Sergio, is very-mildly differently-abled in some generally-surmountable ways, but he's got a bizarre habit of eating grass on occasion. While he's not exactly grazing, if we're all playing in the yard he'll pick up a clump of turf and start eating it.

When we explain to him why he shouldn't, he's passionate about "not having this at home" and it's a treat for him.
I'm sure he'll grow out of this, but he's really amazed by manicured lawns and somehow enjoys the taste(if only they liked all vegatables as much) and I'm just concerned about any long-term dangers that could come from doing this.

As an addendum, we used Milky-Spore several months ago on the lawn and I'm worried it stays in the soil so long Sergio may be consuming it.

I've made repeated effort to contact someone at UMass' program but they don't want to make any definitive statement given the unusual nature or the situation.

QVC is my favorite. 10,000 catty women with nothing else to do except sit at home, buy useless self-curling hoses and Christmas decorations, and claw each other all day on the 'net. The best ones are the rips on the fat show host whose ass makes Lisa Sparxx look like a bulemic Congolese.

I'm kind digging the "Racial jokes--when is it not okay?" thread. The only time it's not ok tell racial jokes is when they're not funny.

Hello everyone, my name is Ray and this is my first post.

I'm haveing a little problem with my friendly neighbor, a guy named Brandon. I grow a lot of cucumbers, squash, carrots, and a few other veggies in my garden out back. My neighbor often steals my veggies. And that's not the worst of it, it's what he does with it that makes it really bad. He defiles himself with them. Our houses are very close together and I can hear what he is doing to himself. He is putting them in his own "back yard". And yes it gets worse. He replants them as if nothing happened the next day. Should I wash the vegatables before I eat them? Talk of the town is he may have a few communicable diseases.

james, I had the same problem when the wife and I adopted a couple of shorties from North Korea. The couldn't stop eating the grass. My wife and I came up with a solution that consists of three parts. Love, Patience, and beating the living hell out of them with a garden hose. You don't have to get a real fancy one, just something durable from Wal-Mart will do. We found that teaching them to eat the weeds instead of the grass killed two birds with one stone. We have a great looking lawn because the kids are slamming crab grass and dandelions. Hope this helps, cheers.

The fact that both these posts are still up(especially C-62's "Brandon" post) for over 24-hours can lead one to one of two conclusions:

A) The site is very loosely moderated(or not moderated at all)
B) That board is the XPT of gardening tips message boards

C) The gardeners actually have a great sense of humor, and confusedly find it as entertaining as the patrons of xpt

Looking at the replies, I'd go with this one...they're not a bunch of knee-jerk Nazis.

Congratulations to them!
