Hef doesn't own the Mansion, his daughter's company does. About 2 years ago they mortgaged it plus all of PLA's other business assets for a $50MM loan from Bank of America and LaSalle Bank in Chicago. Every year, you the PLA shareholder, fork over an ungodly sum of money so independent auditors can come in and determine the company-paid costs and the Hef-paid costs of that abode, and to determine a market value for renting that property. With PLA laying off employees left and right and earnings in the toilet, don't expect any renovations in the Mansion, unless Hef has a secret video of his dog dry-humping one of these blonde interloping whores on "The Girls Next Door."
