Matt Hughes wins again.
B.J Penn almost got the submission in the second round with a triangle/armbar combo. (Im amazed on how how he applied it from his angle). Penn gassed out in the 3rd and Hughes pinned him in a crucifix and rained punches on Penn's head. Overall, a very good fight card.

That's OK, I wanted a Matt GSP match anyway. I missed this one. Were the other matches good?

Gurgel defeats Abbadi by split judges' decision after three rounds. Judges scored the bout 29-28 twice for Gurgel, and 29-28 for Abbadi. This preliminary bout was not aired on the broadcast.

Heavyweight bout: Mario Neto vs. Eddie Sanchez

Sanchez defeats Neto by knockout due to punches at :17 of round two. Sanchez accepted the fight on short notice, replacing Gabriel Gonzaga.

Lightweight bout: Roger Huerta vs. Jason Dent

Huerta defeats Dent by unanimous decision after three rounds. All three judges scored the bout 30-27 for Huerta.
