If she wants to return to the US, which she will have to do to pursue her golddigging lawsuit, then I doubt a US court will allow zero parental rights for the father if he isn't a complete loser.

I meant that as a general comment as to why anyone would do such a thing. The savings is several thousand dollars, in the tens of thousands if there is any complication or need to stay in the hospital for a few days.
