Mussolini was kind of an idiot, he went into a world war with no reason at all, and worst of all with an army totally obsolete, without tanks or plane, most of the heavy weaponary was old crap from World War One, the army was totally disorganized and got kicked in the ass even in the balkans, i dont even mention the total disaster that was the russian campaign, i even did some researches on my own and talked to old folks who were in the army, they didnt even have to eat and they were starving all the time, even when they were doing training in Italy before the war!
