Richard Hungwell: If you click on a thread title (say for example ID-Card) whilst you are still viewing the forum list then you will be taken to the most current post within that thread. If you however click on forum first (eg. Monkey Cage) then click on the desired thread then you will most likely be taken to the first post (unless you had viewed it earlier, in which case you will be taken to the first update since your last view; and this could be the last).
