A Nashville man who has been charged by Metro police with 122 offenses since July 1995 is back behind bars following his arrest Thursday afternoon for trafficking 1,300 prescription pain pills.

East Precinct Flex Officer Shane Fairbanks stopped Cantrelle Winters’ 1994 Toyota Camry on Greenwood Avenue near Porter Road because Winters wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. As Fairbanks approached the car, he detected an obvious odor of marijuana, opened the driver’s door and asked Winters to step out. Instead, Winters put the car in gear and sped off. Winters led Fairbanks on a several block pursuit before stopping in the 2000 block of Greenwood Avenue where he was arrested. Officers then walked the pursuit path and found a large plastic bag that had been tossed out of the Toyota’s passenger window. The bag contained 1,300 Dilaudid tablets packaged in 13 smaller bags. Winters was found to be carrying $10,200 cash, $5000 of which was concealed in his buttocks (50 $100 bills).

Winters, 29, of Rock Creek Trace, is charged with drug possession for resale, evading arrest and driving on a suspended license. His passenger, Ollis Welch, 31, of Riverside Drive, who was carrying $5,114 cash, is charged with drug possession for resale.

“This is simply outstanding police work on the part of Officer Fairbanks that all began with a traffic stop because Winters wasn’t wearing his seatbelt,” Chief Ronal Serpas said.

Winters is being held in lieu of $77,500 bond. Welch is free on $50,000 bond.

That's a pretty thick wad of cash. I've broken small purses before just packing that amount of bills laid straight. Surely, this guy had to roll them to get them in his ass. Mind bleach...must get mind bleach to erase the image of his gape which is more more disturbing now that the article shows his face.

If he's willing to put himself through that, then I say let him I keep it!
