Like Carl sagan before him, this was a fellow who nobley sought to use a degraded medium (television) in order to uplift & educate people and arouse their interest in science in a way that wasn't alienating or boring, as so much of our sorry public education often is. Though his death is a tragedy and is being trivialized by all number of jokey and cretinous commentary, it will vbe his true legacy what shall ultimately endure.
