As you speak English through the course of a day, everytime you come to a place in your speech where the correct word to use would be "a" substitute "an". Like, I looked up into the sky and saw an plane flying over head. It doesn't have the same effect done vice versa style because "a" is so versatile. "I had a apple for lunch" sounds pretty normal.

Windsock that is so funny lol! Well I would like to add that my boss at work asked me not to say well and also so much. However I tried to explain to him that the reason that I say aslo is because there is a difference between to and two and also too and that I don't want people to misunderstand me when I talk to others. Well he didn't understand he shook his head and walked away. Well I told a fellow coworker about this and he told me not to worry about it.
