I read this news story when it came out today and was very intrigued. This bit of info really caught my attention--

How could he contact her, but not tell her where he is?
Why didn't he escape?
Why hasn't he contacted her again?
In '97 he would be approx. 26 or 27 y.o. so has he lived in captivity all this time?
What kind of crimes would he be involved in?
Why would the abductors give the mother photos 24 years later?
etc., etc., etc.

I'll have to check for some other news about this case, it is very interesting
