It'll be a red-stater. The regular folks don't like getting hosed by the lefties. Dean will run the Dems into the ground.

I'm not sure who "regular folks" are, but if it's meant to indicate the majority of Americans, then from everything I've observed, "regular folks" are pretty fucking stupid.
Dean won't run the Dems into the ground, he'll only run himself into the ground by continuing to espouse oldschool liberal ideas in a party which has become virtually indistinguishable from the Republicans. In fact, I don't see the significance of fierce party loyalty, when the parties repeat the same "tough on crime, strong natl defence, no child left behind" bullshit.
I might have little to no respect for our sitting comander-in-chief, but I don't hate him and I don't blame him for all our problems. I blame the electorate. An electorate that doesn't know that leadership isn't someone telling you what you want to hear; it's someone telling you what you need to hear. An electorate ready, willing, and eager to surrender every shred of personal freedom in exchange for security and being excused from civic responsibility. And an electorate that's happy to live in blissful ignorance of our part in world affairs, as long as they can continue to enjoy the highest standard of living in the world at the expense of 2/3 of the world's population.
Just keep telling us what we want to hear. "They hate us 'cuz we're free!"..."It's your money. You should keep it!"...and if we're all just willing to sacrifice a little freedom, we can win the war on freedom-hating terrorists. What a fuckin' leader we've chosen. We deserve everything we get.
