Man Pleads Guilty to Federal Obscenity Charges in Montana

BILLINGS, Mont. - A man who ran a catalog business selling defecation and bestiality tapes pleaded guilty to federal charges of obscenity yesterday.
The Department of Justice released a statement today that Gary A. Robinson, 62, has pleaded guilty to charges of transportation of obscene materials. Robinson admitted that he had used the United Parcel Service (UPS) to deliver the videos ordered from his Suzie’s Corral catalog in the fall of 2002.
Robinson is facing up to five years of jail and a $250,000 fine. In addition he is required to forfeit all of his profits and all of the equipment used to commit his crime, including video duplicating machines and all of the videos in the Suzie's Corral catalog.
U.S. Attorney Bill Mercer, the prosecutor of the case, told the The Billings-Gazette that he believed this was the first federal obscenity case prosecuted in Montana.
Mercer told the Gazette that Ride'um Cowgirl and Dogs and Horses and Pigs and Chickens were two of the videos that Robinson was selling.
Robinson is currently out on his own recognizance awaiting sentencing, which will be set at a later date.
