I have to correct myself here. I was thinking about Afrika Blood & Guts and not Goodbye Uncle Tom.
Afrika Blood and Guts paints a very unrealistic picture of Afrika while this documentary, Goodbye Uncle Tom, is supposed to be a record about slavery. Both are extremely exaggered but fun to watch. Afrika Blood & Guts was one of the first mondos I watched and if remember correctly, it was meant to have "every scene look you straight in the eye and spit."

I used to watch a ton of these films back in the day. They were very popular in Europe.
