Why shouldn't Italians be proud of being Italian?
The only issue I've had with any is the same as w/the PRs:
If you fly another flag [Italy, PR, etc.], fly a US flag, too!
My neighborhood is mostly Italian and they went NUTS for the World Cup. I did comment on people who didn't have out the US flag. One cursed at me. But, by the next day, the stars & stripes were up, too. And, the mother of the guy that cursed at me gave me a plate of sausage and peppers!! And the celebration continued!!
