Victor Hugo's The Hunchback Of Notre Dame is kind of a twisted story with lots of plot twists, but he starts out describing the differences between Paris during the story and Paris when Victor Hugo wrote the book, it killed it for me.

I liked the Phantom Of The Opera book, the Opera Ghost is a much more interesting, considerably less gay, character in the book.

Frankenstein is a better movie than a book, the book is jam packed full of moral dilemmas and lessons that people need to learn, kind of sanctimonious.
