Some weeks back I noticed at Taylor Rain's site that Fayner had bet her cod is not a real fish. "Cod", he explained, is an acronym for "catch of the day". She took the bet, and then he produced "evidence" that convinced her he was right. Bizarrely, the evidence -which he posted on the site- actually proved that he was, of course, wrong.

I'm not sure what this means, but I'm convinced it's a parable of some sort.

He was close...actually, it is scrod that is not a specific species of fish, but rather any of several species (usually Haddock or Pollock) that is split, boned and broiled as the "catch of the day."

The hilarious thing is that Taylor Rain believed him, even though the "evidence" he posted on the site clearly indicated that "scrod" was the acronym, and cod a real fish. I suppose it was foolish of me to think she could read.
