nah, the randomness is pretty well accounted for(additive variance, etc.) unless EO's kids ate lead paint or he married a woman with an IQ of 56 or something. i'm the offspring of a harvard mba and i do ok. most people i grew up with that had two smart parents ended up smart and functional, much more so than the kids who had a smart dad and dumb trophy-wife and ended up at places like trinity or conn-college.

why does that matter? a person with a 90 or below is 75 times less-likely to finish highschool, around 15 times more likely to stay on welfare and roughly ten times as likely to face incarceration than someone with above 120.

2 parents over 120 reliably have kids above 120, parents below 100 rarely produce offspring that breaks 100.

so something that correlates highly with level of academic and economic achievement is also a heritable trait. take every way of measuring intelligence and take the highest-order common factor and you've got g. g's heritable and highly so and it's undoubtedly biological as it coordinates with shit like prefrontal lobe size.

so basically, the major thing they're testing your IQ for is heritable to the tune of 0.5.low values LIMIT success at complex tasks and there's almost nothing that environmentally can alter your glass ceiling. of course, you can be smart and lazy and drop out into poverty, but you're not going to be limited the same way.
