JULY IS NATIONAL ICE CREAM MONTH
In 1984, President Ronald Reagan designated July as National Ice Cream Month and the third Sunday of the month as National Ice Cream Day. He recognized ice cream as a fun and nutritious food that is enjoyed by a full 90% of the nation's population. In the proclamation, President Reagan called for all people of the United States to observe these events with "appropriate ceremonies and activities."
The International Ice Cream Association (IICA) encourages retailers and consumers to celebrate July as National Ice Cream Month. In 2006, National Ice Cream Day will be Sunday, July 16.
The U.S. ice cream industry generates more than $21 billion in annual sales and provides jobs for thousands of citizens. About 9% of all the milk produced by U.S. dairy farmers is used to produce ice cream, contributing significantly to the economic well-being of the nation's dairy industry.
Founded in 1900, IICA is the trade association for manufacturers and distributors of ice cream and other frozen dessert products. The association's activities range from legislative and regulatory advocacy to market research, education and training. Its 80 member companies manufacture and distribute an estimated 85% of the ice cream and frozen dessert products consumed in the United States.

I'm addicted to coffee ice-cream.. otherwise vanilla. Mostly ben & jerry's... with heath bar crunch. YUM!
And my girlfriend loves chocolate ice-cream.. sometimes with nuts... usually Häagen-Dazs.
I attached that doll because we currently have it in the freezer next to some coffee ice-cream, and I'm not kidding.

When you eat Coldstones to substitute a healthy lunch, you best be eating all that good creamy stuff! The bananas were yummy, Chico Bandito!! If it had chocolate in it, it would have never been finished.

Gelson's is/was having a sale on fresh frozen, uncooked shrimp. 4 bucks a pound (that's about 60 shrimp,)so half a days worth of work pays for half a week of dinner
And my hourly wage paid for the Halibut and chicken. I'll keep you healthy

Choc Chip Cookie Dough ICE CREAM is the greatest invention since the machine gun. As a good Uncle Da Burglar, I kept all 5 of my under 8 year old Nieces and Nephews occupied for 2 hours+ digging out the chunks of Cookie Dough from several containers, and then making ONE BIG Theoretical Cookie out of the chunks of dough and then cooking it in a pre-heated oven at 375 degrees fahrenheit....all 5 of my brood and I sat in front of the oven and watched...and watched...and we observed that the cookie dough from the Ice cream did NOT make an actual cookie...it made a mess. It just gurgled and bubbled and congealed into a mid-sized puddle on one of Grandma Da Burglar's good cookie pans. I had to buy two new ones since I ruined them. But It was fun and I still get asked by the kids when I am coming home to do that again...I feel guilty being away from them at times like this. I feel sad now....fuck whoever started this thread, you sentimental bastard(s)

Inspired by this thread yesterday I had some delicious chocolate gelato. I'm not an expert but I read gelato has no cream.. it's damn good..

After all this ice cream talk, I took the time to go to Ben & Jerrys yesterday to try it for the first time. I was very disappointed walking in and seeing that 98% of the flavors were very chocolate oriented. Then there were a few other flavors that were low-fat which is a total disgrace. And then some few fruity flavors. I tried their Black Raspberry flavor... after buying it I realized in small print it said "low sugar" it disgusted me. I ate most of it anyways... to see if I can find any enjoyment in it. Well I didn't. Although I enjoyed torturing myself and vouched to never go to Ben & Jerry's again unless I find a love for chocolate and chunks of it in my ice cream. How do you get a chick to like chocolate? It's just too damn sweet for me to handle! It causes all kinds of tummy ahces.

If his favorite :IceCream: flavor is "Cherry Garcia" I will also include pornstarlet/pistoning peni recipient Cherry Poopin's Phone number for him to use as he sees fit, and I will submit a Business Concept Letter to the "gang" at BJs (ben and Jerry) about a new flavored Ice cream called...you guesed it, "Cherry Poppins." i ate like six flavor-ice things for dinner, i've never been a big ice cream guy so clearly i have a freezer full of little tubes of sugar, food coloring and water with no nutritional value instead.
i'm fairly sure i'll have rickets or scurvy by the end of the summer unless i start taking multivitamins to counteract eating sour watermelon candy like 2 meals a day.
someone should start putting vitamins in gummi-worms since they can put them in water, cereal, etc.

Looking back, I'm glad. Probably why I don't like fake sugar stuff now. As far as toys, I was spoiled in that department. The Big Wheel was the shiznit. I rode that thing everywhere, even to that one house that was always under construction. Damn, Chico. Takin' me back to the old school.
Too bad you werent my neighbor. We would've tore up the block on those Big Wheels.
Man, good times. We were allowed Otter Pops most anytime, as they were the absolute cheapest snack available short of picking and eating tengeloes and oranges.
We tore up the roads with our bigwheels. It was a huge bummer when the front wheel got flatspotted.
We moved on to bicycles pretty quick, and it was a small step to clothespinning a playing card in the spokes for that "big power" sound.

I hope all of you 80's kids have been enjoying "Robot Chicken" on Adult Swim. By the way, I hear there's gonna be a new Transformers movie coming out next summer. Nostalgia sells, I guess. Unfortunately it's directed by Michael Bay, but it can't be any worse than the Transformers movie that came out in '86 when they freaking killed almost all of the characters. It was traumatic.
