after the success of the amsterdam thread below, i thought i'd make one for la and vegas since many posters here would live in/be familiar with these two cities.

i'm going to visit la and vegas in either january or february next year for about a week each, and whilst i've been to both cities already, i was 15 at the time and can't remember shit. so help me out with where to stay, where to eat, what to see, and most importantly, as i'm australian, where to go out and get drunk.

thanks.

Being that your Aussie I'm gonna assume you'll want beer. When I was filming in Burbank we spent every night at the Gordon Bierch Brewery. Good beer, and great pub food. That's the first place I'll be visiting when I hit LA again.
As for Vegas bet it all on Red.

Damn, Eddie this thread slipped past me without me noticing. I've been to Vegas a few times and I've stayed at the Tropicana, the Luxor and once at the Bellagio. The Bellagio is where its at especially if you're bringing a chick with you because its pretty classy, but with the added class comes a higher price tag. The Luxor was fun with the Egyptian theme Nefertiti, Ra Sun God etc. and good amenities like lounge and pool space. The Luxor was middle of the road as far as price for staying on the strip. The Trop was cool because it's old school/retro and a bit cheaper than most places on the Vegas strip. The buy in prices for the tables at the Trop were cheaper also because they wanted to keep people in house. We had fun staying there and you can walk to many of the other casinos on the strip like MGM Grand and New York New York. If you're going all out I'd suggest the Bellagio or the Venetian. If you are on the cheap try the Tropicana or Circus Circus.

As far as LA LA Land I've never been there, but good luck my friend.

The weather was good today in L.A. Golden sky and tempertures about 70 degrees F (thats about 25 degrees C). Nice weather really. Women will come and go, except when it rains so be jolly.

Nothing wrong with West Hollywood, its just like 95% gay. No women there.

Redondo is cool, but the girls hangout in Hermosa or Manhattan which is right next door. They have all the clubs.

West Hollywood has more ignorant rude people who don't care or notice anyone else but themselves than those who aren't like that. Not tourist friendly. Unless you can play the roll well then you'll do just fine there. LOL

What Chico said too... more gay and metro than anything. Less down to earth hot chicks.

The best beaches as far as cleanliness north of the L.A. area is San Buenaventura Beach in Ventura, CA. The sand is fine and nearly white, not poorly littered and the water doesn't smell like a Andy Gump.

when you go to vegas, you will probably want to check out the crown and anchor, its an english pub that is open 24hours and you can watch aussie and english sports while drinking. its pretty good. here is a good schedule of the popular nightclubs to hit

Monday - anywhere in Mandalay Bay, right now its Mix
Tuesday - Pure at Caesars Palace
Wednesday - anywhere at MGM (Studio 54 or Tabu)
Thursday - Rain at the Palms
Friday - Body English at Hard Rock
Tryst at the Wynn Resort
Saturday - Pure at Caesars Palace
Body English at Hard Rock
Jet at Mirage
Sunday - Lite at Bellagio

also, Sunday afternoon is the pool party at the Hard Rock called Rehab...its fucking incredible...picture ALL of the strippers in vegas, except in bikinis and partying by the pool during the day. good times

also, for strip clubs.....i wouldn't stray outside of the Crazy Horse II or Spearmint Rhino, anything else is hit or miss, those 2 are always the bomb.

and there you go.......i lived in vegas for a couple of years and worked in those clubs, so this is pretty dead on.

A lot of the UNLV Hotties hang out at "THE BEACH", which is also a popualr place for out of town chicks to visit and cut loose, so if you want to meet a NON-professional civilian chick you can score with without forking over a minimum of 400-500 bucks, try that place...

Many of the OLDER, MILF type strippers and escorts that still look pretty fuckign hott can often be found at the FLAMINGO Hilton's Pool, especially during the daytime weekend when their customary business clientele is slow...so if you like MILFs, check the Flamingo out...but Christian is right about Rehab on Sundays. All the YOUNG HOTTIES go there for hangover busting bloody mary's and the cool pool scene. Try the in-water blackjack to attract some gold digging honey's to flirt with...buy in for about 300-400 AT LEAST and pretty soon a couple chicks will be rubbing your dick under the water as you decide to double down against an ACE to appear brave and cavalier in their eyes...good times.

Also, there is a Burgeoning RUSSIAN MAfia Presence in Vegas, and as such HOTT Russian Chicks abound...again the Flamingo Hilton is a good place to meet a "Natasha" who will be your girlfriend for the night for as little as 500 bucks (a STEAL cuz most of these Russian chicks are TOTALLY hott, and do just about ANYTHING.) For some reason, the Russkies also like the Aladdin...the pool on the roof is pretty nice. If you take the girl shopping in Aladdins Mall and buy her a nice trinket or dress, she'll blow you right at the register if you ask her...they dont have malls in Russia except in Moscow and St Petersburg.

If you are on a budget, cheap and/or dont want to blow a LOT on a room but still want SOME semblance of superficial quality, check out the Straosphere at the VERY end of the Strip. Dont let the surrounding block's appearance fool you, the STRAT actually is a clean, decent hotel...lets you plop your money on more important things like Booze, Hookers and Strippers...

I personally have a sentimental attachment to Downtown Las Vegas...my first time, right out of College in 1992 I stayed downtown and had the fuckign time of my life...in 1992 Vegas was still VEGAS. I still remember it just before the city changed (for the worse) and became Disneyland for Degenerates. Downtown still has some historical sights of OLD Vegas worth seeing, and the Golden Nugget is still a decent, semi-classy hotel. Only problem is you will have a hard time getting a decent escort to visit you downtown unless you pay a premium...if the girls get busted Downtown it is a MAJOR hassle for them as opposed to being busted on the strip...
