I was Satellite Communications in the Air Force, then when I got out of the service I was an Automation Field Service Engineer (I fixed Robots for the Auto Industry.) I worked with Electricians all the time installing robots. The Electricians always teased me they were making more money than I was. The Company I worked for was bought out by another company, God losing a $75,000 a year job sucks.

Anyhow I called an Electrical Contractor who steered me to the Union who said they didn't need Electricians, they needed Installer Techs.

I made about $22K last year and worked most the year. I've been off six weeks this time, longest was five months.
