I never liked this sleazy LA truckdriver glam garbage back thenm except for the occasional Faster Pussycat or sokmething maybe but Axl seems like Dean Martin or Liza Minelli now. Loopk at his expert and depersonalized overlook of thwe crowd after he solicits them to "sing one". That is the mark of a true performer abnd goes a ways to explaining whgy he turned out like Michael Jacksion rather than whoever. the thing about GnR at the time was they were like an antidote to all the bad hair metal that had been scraped off the Sunset Strip and sprayed all over the airwaves...i was solidly into punk and Hardcore and thrash at the time but GnR's first album found it's way into the hearts of me and my skater pals ...becuz it was real and surprising refreshing. or that coulda all just been the Marketing Angle they were going for anyway...who knows?
