Symptoms of marasmus (starvation) include Abdominal manifestations - Distension, decreased or metallic bowel sounds,etc...

I think the reason is that the abdomen area gets so weak their guts are basically falling out, and the skin is barely holdin it in.





As I understand it, people suffering from marasmus tend to drink large quantities of water to quell hunger pain. Large quantities of water stimulate the stretch receptors of the stomach and causes significant distention.




A distended stomach is a sign of liver toxicity. It's cause is lack of nutrition, poor nutrition, toxic metals and bacteria in the water and soil. Detox a liver even in a healthy person, the stomach flattens.
