I think the top three in the running would be Nina Hartley, Annie Sprinkle and Marilyn Chambers, although she and Candida Royalle, do more work behind the camera than in front of it.

Either way, these ladies certainly paved the way for the girls today and made HUGE strides in respectability for women in the industry...
