Anybody watched any games?? Who do you guys like??
I thought Argentina played a lousy match, Ivory Coast was much more exciting to watch, those fuckers ran so fast and they were confident. Great opening win for Germany 2 awesome goals, Costa Rica looked like they were playing a friendly game. I thought Mexico was awful despite winning 3-1, Borgetti out for the next 2 games. By far the best football was from Czech Republic, they were just brilliant...not just Nedved, but their 2 other midfielders, damn those guys were so coordinated and had perfect timing, too bad their front guy Koller was injured...to be honest it still fucking hurts the way the us team knocked us out the last world cup, but I expected a lot more from them against Czech Rep, its gonna be hard for the gringo team but I sure wish them the best, a rematch against them later on would be great...Bruce Arena looks like a pedo

Argentina definitely a side to watch, also Portugal, Japan could have had a drawn 1-1 with Australia, but blew it – they (Japan) went too hard.
I am looking at Argentina 2-0 over Serbia M. I got money on that one.

What a day in the USA's group...first Ghana beat the Czech Republic, then a nine-man US team holds out for a battling point against a ten-man Italy.
The last two games in this group are going to be awesome...no-one can afford to play out for a draw, they're all going to be going for each other's throats, and it looks like one of either the Czech Republic or Italy won't be making it through to the next round either!!!
I'm hoping Australia play to form and kick the shit out of Brazil's most talented players today...it's a shame Lucas Neill plays as a centre half for the Aussie national team, as I'd like to see him go head to head (or studs to ankle) with Ronaldinho!

France got cornholed today with the take-a-way goal. How is Melissa handling the news?

2/1 on that she's booking a Korean chick for her next Hellfire Sex shoot....
The French can still qualify for the knockout stages, but it's really a question of whether they want to or not at the minute. Their coach needs to start making some brutal decisions quickly.

Wowzer... did anyone watch Argentina completely destory... whoever it was they destoried? Messi is now my favorite player of the compo and I seriously hope these guys go to the finals. 6 goals is what I was expecting from Brazil but they've been a dissapointment since they kicked off... even Ronaldo can hardly run for the ball anymore. WACK!!!
I also thought Ghana played a decent game... I hope they qualify too.
I pretty much missed every other game because Japs don't stop working...just my luck.

Spain showed some real resolve coming from one down to win 3-1. If they keep their shit together they will be a force to be reckoned with. (was that trite?) Nevertheless, Spain looked good today.

As an Englishman, I'm having severe doubts about us after the Sweden game...I think Beckham and Lampard are playing like crap, but Eriksson won't drop them because they are 'stars'. The loss of Michael Owen didn't help matters either....

On current form, if we get Argentina, then the stage is set for one or more of the Argentinean players to become a bigger national hero than Maradona...it pains me to say it, but they look by far the best team (and squad) at the World Cup. Their only weak link would seem to be the keeper, and he hasn't really done anything bad as of yet.
I'm looking forward to Italy vs. Czech Republic though...two great footballing sides going at it to the death, plus Ghana and USA can still sneak in on the equation

England looks like shit. I hope ecuador beats them 4-0. the smug cloud from george clooneys acceptance speech is about to collide with the smug cloud over england.
the USA got what they deserved.... their asses handed to them by everyone they played. including the ref's. im trying to figure out a way to blame bush.

My World Cup impression is that it would be a good place to put a bomb in a blimp and fly it over the stadium and blow it up and *snap*, just like that- 150,000 less eurotrash.
But I admit I haven't really thought it through at all. I have no idea where you get a blimp.

Well, looks like Brazil finally got their game together... not as bad a thrashing as I was hoping for but still good enough.
Every team seems to be trying to play like Argentina at the moment (including Brazil)... but now with the shitty teams erradicted it's time for some good football (i mean soccer).
And as much as I wanted Ghana to beat the USA looks like they might be heading home sooner than expected. With their current mode of play they don't stand a chance against anyone.
The finals should be interesting, unless someone cluster fscks now!!

Well, that´s that for Mexico...Argentina is on a roll and we are gonna get the shit beat out of us, mediocre world cup for Mexico. Well at least we´ll have a bigger turnout for the "El Presidente" election come july 2...its so fucking sad how the general population here falls for the most evident lies and promises, that´s what you get when 85 out of 100 million people live in extreme poverty, but hey, we have the 4th richest guy in the world...anyway
I hope England steps up to the challenge and improve their game, they obviously have problems with their defense starting with their keeper...Italy looked great and Spain has played very good consistently...At least we got to see that Ronaldo´s weight problem is not preventing him from scoring the most goals in world cup history...Australia Vs. Croacia one of the best games I´ve seen, that Viduca guy can play, Aussies play rough I guess its got something to do with rugby...france has just scored their second goal, I´m glad they are on their way to the second phase...now the real world cup starts

We got knocked out. Australia seemed to have the ball for about 80% of the match but haven't really got anyone who can score goals and then Italy were awarded a dodgy penalty in about the last 3 seconds of the game which they converted to win 1-0. Australia would have had a great chance against the Ukraine too had they been able to make the Quarter Finals. It didn't help that Australia's golden boy Harry Kewell was out with a groin strain - hopefully JM Productions had nothing to do with this!

The Aussies, God love'em, had their chance, shit the bed, but played well. The penalty kick they gave up in extra time was weak, but deserved. Fuckin' azzurri play well no matter the circumstances.
Brazil-Argentina in the final. Argentin the winner.

England are still playing like shit, but we're in the Quarter Finals! Such a shame Marco Van Basten's arrogance caused the Dutch to go out...if only he'd swallowed his pride and put Van Nistelrooy on, we might be playing against them instead of Portugal. Italy are already in the Semi-Finals, as they will bury the Ukraine. I'm looking forward to France vs. Spain today...should be a cracker!

If I was putting money on the match I would bet on Portugal, but England wins even when they don't deserve to. They should have lost at least two matches that I can think of, but they continue to win so my gut says England over Portugal.

Italy VS Australia was fscking brutal. That was the match right? Jeezzz.. what kind of Ref did they get for this match eh? But as unfair as that was... I was glad to see Italy thru. Sorry Aussies.

Why do all the established teams get the breaks? Brazil can break all the rules they want yet the referees side with them every decision. One of the Australian players Harry Kewell was saying after Brazil's match versus Australia the referees ran over to the Brazillian camp and were hugging and joking with the Brazillian players which seems just bizarre when the referees are meant to be impartial!
At least Australia plays fair and isn't full of pansy actors like some of the European teams who cry and need the referees to kiss them better
Apparently the drama with the referees is meant to be part of the "beauty" of the game but I'm hoping they will bring in cameras and video referees to eliminate all the dodgy decisions

Harry Kewel is a complaining and whining burnout. He dived so many times during the aust games. YOU DON"T WANT VIDEO . Remember it cuts both ways, and Australia made/did a ton of fouls. Forget it. It was a learning curve. Australia got outdone and outplayed by Italy. You don't do sliding tackles in the penalty box, 4mins injury time with a sudden death game!!! crazy...
Don't worry, we will refine our game, get two or three new key players, new coach - pref south American. And we will be on our way. All is good.
