Well the easy answer is "Yes. Only widowed pornstars deserve scorn because they used to fuck for a living." The truth is a little more complicated (it usually is), and depends somewhat on the subjectivity of the individual heaping the scorn.

Let me start off by saying that this guy's death was tragic, regardless of mechanics of why or how it happened. From my perspective, what bothers me is the (apparent) way a distraught young mother is using her status as a "porn star" to squeeze donations out of her fans and the industry generally.

Keep in mind that she already sells products on her site. Now, she's marketing charity instead. Couldn't she have said - "I'm in a real jam, please buy a product from my website to help out" instead of just begging? Begging is demeaning to both sides of the transaction.

She also might have waited a day or two after the death to start begging. She's supposed to be grieving, after all.

Aggravating the situation is that Asia has developed a reputation in the industry of being a bitch and a diva. In particular, she has boasted about her financial acumen, at least in part to elevate herself over the rest of her colleagues in the industry.

This sad situation has shown that the Emperess has no clothes, and people are reacting to that.

Of course, it could just be that the people at XPT are Jackals that take delight in the misery of others. Just saying ...
