They also said that there will be a new Metallica, Tom Petty and Likin Park. All coming in the 4th QTR.
Rick Ruben brought his label (American) back to Warner. The release is a band called the Vacation. Rick is also working on the new Kid Rock CD.
Anyway, have a good weekend.

I heard a rumor that the Slayer release may get pushed back...ah fuck, Ive waited 5 years for this one, whats a few more weeks.......Slayer uber alles!!!
damn, Rubin is a busy man...Slayer,Metallica,Cash:American V, and now you say he's working with Kid Rock...talk about some artists that push units.

Yeah, Rick is very busy. I hope he helps Kid Rock get his sound back. Because we could use the sales.
Kid Rock is one of only a handful of artists to be awarded the diamond Platinum award. That's when an artist has sold over 10 million copies of a record.
I know kid Rock, Eagles and Alanis are the only diamond artist that we have distribution right.

Don't laugh, Rick actually did a dope job on the new Neil Diamond cd, but he and Slayer will never top the alb this classic came from.....

I only work on the distribution side of the music industry. Sales/marketing...
I don't do A&R. ....Once the band is signed and the CD is finished. I'm the bastard that goes into Tower, Best Buy, Waterloo, FYE and says, " So, were getting lots of buzz on the new Slayer CD. How many you going bring in?"
