you will see that it is 148 for cattel tests. Most popular tests are Stanford-Binet and its likes. But yeah I understand that it may be somewhat deceptive at times. Still Cattel tests are the only ones that have different scales from the rest.

Some IQ tests in East Asia are really tough, I heard. Many members of Mensa in the US or UK would not have made it even if they spoke their language. However within the same race and culture(ie. white and European descent), especially US and UK, there is no known difference in av IQ.
