I find this statement and the topic it encompasses compelling and morbidly fascinating. Because it cuts to the core of "WHY?", and really hits home in my mind about what is going on with Porn and the young, semi attractive girls that generally comprise the performer/talent pool. An escort, average in terms of appeal and physical attributes, if she puts forth modest effort and does not do anything desperate or stupid, can earn 1500 a day seeing 2 or 3 clients MAXIMUM, at 1-2 hours per client. There is an element of uncertainty and danger with first time clients, but by and large with established repeat clientele, escorting offers the same or greater benefits as porn monetarily, without the FILMED/RECORDED for POSTERITY aspects that Gallo points out will follow a chick to her grave. An escort who maintains discretion and anonymity can pursue most other vocations and careers if she chooses, and she can hide from family/friends/lovers-potential spouses her sordid dirty little secret.
