You are actually more right than you realize....whenever I had to Hire someone, I always seperated resumes by Gender, and called the male applicants first. I was discriminating even before I actually met the people...and I was not the only one...and it is especially acute in California because of the laws and the way the system is set up.

Gloria Allred anecdote: She actually represented a girl who worked in the shipping department of the company I used to work for back in the early 1990s...someone sent a computer message to the girl, who was actually very hott, saying he was happy the girl would be working "Under" him in the shipping department. The sexual innuendo was subtle but there...but that was it. Just that one message...but because the guy who sent it technically was the girls boss, and because the girl was attractive which lent additional credence to the case and her claims, SOMEHOW Gloria Allred's firm took her on and got a fast settlement for the girl, and the dude who sent it was fired.

That girl is now 31 and last I heard, a stripper in Houston ...and No, I have not visited her yet
