Carey kicked off her campaign on May 15th at the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder and is traveling across the state to acquire signatures to ensure her place on the election ballot as an independent candidate. “I love campaigning and meeting people,” says Carey. “I just did a signing at a Virgin Megastore in San Francisco that went extremely well. People are so sweet and supportive when you have blonde hair and giant boobs!”

Carey is also keeping a high profile in the media with appearances on MSNBC’s “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” and Fox News’ “Your World with Neil Cavuto.” Carey also co-hosted the nationally syndicated Mancow morning radio show in Chicago for four days.

Carey, who received 10,000 votes during the 2003 California Recall Election and placed 10th out of 135 candidates, believes she has a strong chance for victory this year. “We’re going to make it happen this time,” asserts Carey. “With the help from the media and my Legend movies, I’m reaching new people everyday.”

Legend Video’s public relations guru, Nelson X is optimistic as well. “If all the 18 to 35 year old males who masturbate to her movies can get their mothers to drive them to the polls this year, Mary could win by a landslide.”
