Fellows, I was reading some good stuff at IAFD site when I came across that enormous 'dead porn stars' listing. ItÂ´s so huge that deserves a link at the top of the first page !! ItÂ´s quite impressive. There is a total of 244 (!) names and 60 women among them. Ok, ok...you may say "Heyyou didnÂ´t noticed that x% are due to natural causes" or even "xx deaths are from gay industry who faced a HIV explosion during the 80Â´s and 90Â´s". Yeah, I agree ! But this numbers are serious to me. It looks like a warning that something is not OK. 60 girls ! 75% of them from the US ! What does it means ? I wanna know your opinions. We have, on this board, some industry members, male and female, and theyÂ´re invited too. Could we get any conclusion looking at these numbers ? I donÂ´t want to look cruel or morbid but this is a disturbing subject. I think that death rates are too high ! A self esteem problem ? Is drug abuse involved with this confusion ? Is porn industry the cradle of these numbers or itÂ´s only the way...a channel to set free the fears of a few ? IÂ´ll wait for you.

Factor out the Gays and trannies, since their lives really don't count, then divide the number of dead porn women by the number of women who've done porn over the course of those decades. Use some sort of statistical context to assess the risk, and then realize that porn women are probably exposed to no greater risk than drug-addled women in any other profession.
