I think this is where the issue seems to get clouded. I don't live in Cali so I don't know every detail regarding different propositions or legislation etc., but as far as I know most people don't have a problem with immigrants in general or Mexicans in particular at all. Its the people that illegally enter the country and then demand free health care, free schooling for their children and instant citizenship that people are not happy about. From what I hear the burden on social programs in the border states is massive trying to cope with illegal immigrants. And you have to feel bad for all the people that are trying to enter the country legally to become a citizen because the influx of illegals certainly doesn't speed up the process for them. As usual the guy that follows the rules gets shit on and the guy that breaks the rules somehow benefits.
