Almost all of Canada's major cities have sports franchises. Many of them do quite well. So I don't know how you get off saying Canada can't support teams like the Leafs, the Flames, the Oilers, the Canadiens, etc. All of these teams have rabid fan followings. Even the Raptors sell out every game and make noise in the playoffs. The Jays, not so much, but they are building a stronger team each year, backed by Rogers, which is a huge Canadian company. Despite your tired Canada bashing efforts, I would never move to the United States. I'll take a city like Vancouver over some smoggy, over-populated Los Angeles anyday. You bitch about how the Canadian players are paid in American coin when they go and play for an American team. That doesn't tell me that Canadian teams can't pay out big salaries, but that the Americans just lack the athletic talent, which is evidenced year after year in many sports. That is why you have guys like Steve Nash and Sidney Crosby ripping up your market. This has been an in your face moment brought to you by kneegrow.
