Today was a strange day. I went to the bibliotheque in Santa Monica to grab some books on Greek Mythology when I started talking to one of the girls there called Annie. We were first talking about pretty normal stuff- cooking, travelling etc when suddenly the conversation shifted to her being a slave. Naturally I thought she meant something of a sexual nature, but as she explained, she "cooks meals for her partner and watches him eat. Nothing sexual occurs, he simply eats and leaves." I asked her what kind of relationship is that and she said it's exactly the sort that she prefers. I had a pretty difficult time accepting this ludicrous story but I also had to admit I knew little about the whole slave-master thing. She gave me her number with a little note of some clubs she goes to and said "Maybe I'll see you there sometime."
Afterwards I went to a flower shop to get some info on growing orchids. The guy there was extremely gay and spoke a lot with his hands- flairing them everywhere like a jew at meal time.
I then headed off to Louise's Trattoria for some Grilled Chicken Skewers and Shrimp Scampi. The chicken is marinated with sesame and ginger then skewered and firedgrilled and served with a peanut dipping sauce and mango cilantro slaw. The Shrimp Scampi is fresh prawns prepared scampi style and served with angel hair pasta aglio e olio then finished with chopped roma tomato and parsely. I polished this luncheon off with a Boston's Samuel Adams beverage and headed home with a lot to think about.
LUNCH is a fascinating part of the day- moreso on a day like this.

I hit her with the hammer on top of the head. She made a lot of noise and kept on making noise, so I hit her again.
