Today I went to Nishimura on Melrose for some sushi. The gf and her homegirl rwhom meet me there because they wanted a free luncheon experience. If I knew, I'd have gone to burger king instead.
I had an assorted plate of sashimi: nigiri, ebi (cooked shrimp), maguro (tuna) and ika (squid). The ika is always my favorite. The girls both had kushiyaki with white rice and miso soup. Kushiyaki is food on skewers; enokidake mushrooms, thin slices of beef, asparagus spears, long onions and shichimi togarashi (VERY spicy pepper). I had Nippon's finest export, Sapporo, with my LUNCH while the girls opted for green tea.
Theres a lovely waitress working at Nishimura who I know would look good on my tiki.
