Every fucking time I buy a Lunchable, there's less shit in the box. They've only been giving 5 cracker/meat/cheese pieces per box for a while now instead of the 10 they used to give. But now the meat is also half as thick and the cheese is half as wide as it used to be. They put in a plastic bowl of mandarin oranges, which makes the overall packaging thicker and it seems like you're getting a lot until you open it up. And they throw in a rice crispy treat to add some extra calories, I guess. The whole thing is only 290 calories now, which does not add up to a "Lunch."

I make my own lunchables. I have the deli cut up some thinly sliced turkey. Then I get some Mandarin oranges, brie, and crackers.

I ate at Zaxby's today with a coworker. His choice. I have only eaten there once before years ago. I think they're a Southern thing as they pride themselves on fried chicken especially tenders and fingers and wings. I wasn't impressed. I was wanting some good southern chicken salad so I ordered a chicken salad sandwich plate. This was after I made sure they didn't screw it up with fruit. Please don't put fruit or nuts in my chicken salad (you listening, Arby's?) A touch of honey is fine and use minimal mayonnaise. This crap was dripping with something like mayo out of the sandwich. (Cue cum-jokes here). If we weren't eating so late and I weren't starved, I would have left and eaten elsewhere. I knew I was eating shit but I was famished. I threw away the fries. It looks like I would have been better off eating the fries and tossing the sandwich. I drank diet lemonade.

I make my own lunchables too. Hickory farms summer sausage, half a sleeve of zesta crackers, and some extra sharp cheddar cheese. Washed it down with unsweetened ice tea.

Yeah, I'm done with Lunchables. If I want the same experience, I can just buy the separate ingredients, go outside and wad $5 up and throw it up in the air.

It's kind of like when I go out in Vegas. I'm better off just taking $500, throwing it out the hotel window and then breaking something over my head to knock myself out until the next morning.

I can't stand chicken salad, the sliminess skeeves me. Same w/ macaroni salad. Tuna salad is good though, as are a variety of potato salad. Cole slaw straight sucks.

Good Southern chicken salad is great. It's almost dry but not quite and will spread on a sandwich. Like tuna salad. (For you yankees- this is not a "grilled chicken salad" which is a green salad with cooked chicken cut into it. It's a spread). This shit was like runny slaw. I don't care for slaw at all but if I have to eat it, it cannot drip.

As to the Arby's question...yes I will eat at Arby's if I have to. I order a roast beef sandwich and a diet lemonade or water and eat the roast beef out of the sandwich with that hot red sauce they have. I throw the bread away if the clerk is too stupid to just give me the meat. I tried their chicken salad sandwich once.

Oh I eat too much fast food, but mostly from McDonalds. I have to hit the drivethru 2x a week for lunch due to time and get the dollar menu mcdouble, smallest fry and a sprite. If I go anywhere that costs more than that $3.50 fuel I expect more.

I started out making grilled cheese with 7 grain bread and provolone cheese. I added in some sliced roast beef, apple smoked habanero flakes and horseradish. It was very good. I just wish I had a pickle, some kettle chips and a couple cold lagers to go along with it.

Burnt End sandwich and onion rings at Gates Barbecue in K.C. today. Ate five hours ago and my gut is still not forgiving me. Good but about twice as much food as I should have chowed down on.

I can't stand Gate's sauce. Tastes like cumin juice.

Medium 4 way with onions at Skyline Chili. Chili spaghetti, a Cincinnati thing. I love it.

Some really good Alaskan salmon gravlax. On crackers with cream cheese & dill and some red wine. Almost a perfect meal, although it would've been better if I remembered that I have some of that super-thin Bavarian rye bread.

I love Cinci chilli parlors. I get the chilli island? The one with no hot dog, just chilli, onions, mustard, and tons of shredded cheese on a lil hot dog bun. Man, those things are yummy.

Walked to LaBrea Bagel. It's actually a few blocks from La Brea on Beverly/Pointsetta. I felt underwhelmed by their white fish. Too creamy. I need chunks and bones. And they don't have bialys. Lame. But cute little place and stocked with prayer books if you're in a Luke Ford mood. It's more of a to-go deli, though, I feel their dine-in styrofoam plates would be better improved for cost and presentation if they just used real dishes.

I made it myself. I went to Panera Bread several days ago and ordered Italian Combo sandwich and it cost me $9.03, so I decided to make my own version of it. I documented every step in the making with my camera. Follow my blog and in 3-4 days I will upload the photos. I even made the horseradish-mustard sauce.
