Today I had a Fricadelle with German fries for LUNCH. I made it myself. I learnt how to do this whilst visiting Swizerland. Fricadelle's are elongated meatball's made with ground meat and a variety of complementary ingredients and seasonings. It may be deep-fried or slow-cooked in a stew. I always add Pilsner to my Fricadelle because it adds that certain richness in the meal.
I usually purchase Belgian Blue Beef for my Fricadelle and use nutmeg, salt, pepper for seasoning. I've known people who use different ingredients but this is all a matter of taste.
Now you may not know this, but in Belgium, the fries are much thicker.. and fried differently.. hence the choice to make my fries this way to compliment the delicious Fricadelle. To polish off this exqusite meal I downed some Pilsner Urquell. I left some for the girlfriend, so she won't cry when she gets home. POSHT!
