Today, I wandered outside and ended up at the Athena Greek Taverna, again. They have a pretty new blonde waitress working there.

I ordered the Chicken Monterrey Sandwich special. This is a grilled chicken breast topped with some kind of white cheese, lettuce, tomato, and of course, bacon. I asked if mayonnaise was served on this sandwich and the waitress ASSURED me that it did not come served with Mayo. I swear there was a dollop of mayo on one half of the sandwich. Is my mind playing tricks on me?

Accompanying this delicious sandwich were some ridged potato chips, a small cup of chicken dumpling soup, a dill pickle slice and a bowl of fruit (sliced strawberries, seedless red grapes, chunked pineapple, honey dew melon and canteloupe) for dessert. I couldn't ask for a better midday value downtown.

So, come on people, let's make LUNCH one of the 3 most important meals of the day again. Au revoir.
