I know it sounds ridiculous, but such imagery is important. There is subtext. There is allegory. I must point out that neither of those qualities may be inntentional. This paradoxically, given the ccontext, frees it up from the cult of personality trappings of thye insipid auteur bent of most popular culture, and it remainns dense.
