i don't know, why isn't he? how did mr. webb get the check in the first place? if riley was still living with him at the time, it's reasonable but still kinda hard to get an expired check paid to the order of someone other than who it's written to cashed i'd think. if i'm wrong, i'm wrong, i'm just curious. also, i don't know if signing things in front of the teller matters that much.
personally, a grand isn't going to make or break me, but i sure as fuck wouldn't lose track of a check i needed to destroy for that amount.
