As a peace-loving progressive and a peon in the defense contracting racket, I initially took pride that I was helping deter aggression by keeping America strong. After the Bush Administration destroyed that rationalization, I admitted I was just whoring my technical skills. But sometime after the '04 election, I had a persistent thought that has crushed my ego and caused deep depression - that even a whore will turn a job down if it stinks too bad.
