Da Burglar, I feel your pain. You are lost behind enemy lines, not sure where you belong, as James said.
Actually, I had nothing bad to say about your notes from AVN then or now; however, your brethren here (Arab, James, Chicken) attacked you for trading ironic detachment with wide-eyed enthusiasm ("childlike: exhibiting childlike simplicity and credulity; "childlike trust"; "dewy-eyed innocence"; ").
You've never been the same since that attack. Like a child after seeing the primal scene ("That's what they actually do in there!?!?!!?"). Your posts have generally followed a trajectory of revulsion/attraction (the "Cumfarts Period"); asexual anthropologist (the "Needlessly Verbose Period"); Industry fringe guy (the "I'm With The Band Period"); and finally the kid from Almost Famous(the "Highschool Newspaper Columnist Period").
It's been sad to see a great man struck down in the prime of posting life.
As far as my own interests go. I am admittedly a consumer of pornography, which drew me here. I am also a well-educated professional with a sense of humour, which is what kept me here.
I enjoy some level of interactions with the gals too. I don't suffer fools well, and the posters (male or female) that command respect, get it from me. The grovelers, whiners and incompetents get no respect.
I don't have the energy or the time to start a Jihad against everyone I find annoying here (and there are so many willing to do so by proxy anyhow), but that doesn't mean I can't pile onto a beat-down every now and then.
You are an amusing lot in here, but 'friends' in cyberspace are really just imaginary friends, and it's a mistake to confuse the two. You also ask for disappointment.
Burglar, best of luck in your new career as a porn blogger. Personally I like you more when you were only doing this part-time.
